iDISC attends Localization Latin America
November 20, 2008
iDISC was an exhibitor at Localization Latin America in Buenos Aires, the biggest event for localization and translation into Spanish and Portuguese in Latin America.
Francesc Morelló, iDISC's Operations Manager, offered a talk in which he shared iDISC's procedures with participants, explaining how the company helps translators to concentrate on the things that really matter: producing top-quality work, and making the best possible use of their time, concentrating on terminology and linguistic quality.
By means of a unique project management portal, Francesc Morelló demonstrated how a translator's productivity can be increased by ensuring that their time is not spent on generating reports and records, monitoring, or administrative tasks. "iDISC's greatest asset is its people, and our aim is to make sure that they enjoy localizing products, rather than suffering while they look for files, wait for answers from other members of the team or organize financial matters. Everything should be within their reach at just a couple of mouse clicks away so that they can focus on the translation, optimize their time, and produce quality work. A clear and general overview allows translators to monitor the status of all tasks and have everything they need to hand".
Francesc Morelló's career in the world of localization and project management spans more than 20 years. He joined iDISC in 1992.
