Transcription of 17,757 audio files with guaranteed quality and traceability

21/03/2022

A public-sector organization in Spain operating at the intersection of administration and audiovisual services needed to transform a large volume of telephone recordings into reliable, homogeneous, and institution-ready written information, without assuming risks related to quality, delays, or the exposure of sensitive data. The ultimate goal was not to simply transcribe audio recordings, but to build a solid documentary corpus that could be used with full confidence.

iDISC enabled the client to convert 17,757 audio files (75 hours of recordings) into transcripts fully aligned with its style guide and ready for operational, legal, and administrative use.

At the close of the project, the client achieved a tangible and measurable result:
• A unified, coherent, and standardized document repository
• Easily searchable and reusable information
• Elimination of formal errors and common ambiguities typical of large-scale transcriptions
• Full compliance with deadlines, with no peak workloads, stress points, or reprocessing

Thanks to the quality and consistency of the final output, the organization was able to significantly reduce the time spent on internal reviews and subsequent corrections, accelerating workflows and improving the reliability of the information used in internal processes.

The entire project was carried out under strict security and confidentiality standards, in accordance with ISO 27001. This allowed for the management of sensitive information with complete peace of mind and reinforced the client’s trust in iDISC as a long-term partner.
