Where is Arabic spoken?

Arabic is a Semitic language originating from the Arabian Peninsula. It is the mother tongue of more than 400 million people and is the official language in 20 countries, covering a vast territory that includes the Middle East and North Africa. Localization and adaptation of Arabic variants

We adapt your content to the culture and variants of the language

Translations adapted to the different regions where Arabic is spoken

Arabic, with its many variants, reflects a rich linguistic and cultural diversity. Classical Arabic, historically used in religious and literary texts, is the oldest and most conservative form. Modern Standard Arabic, on the other hand, is the international and contemporary version used in media, education and official documents. Regional dialects, such as Egyptian, Levantine or Maghrebi, vary significantly in pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary, reflecting unique local and cultural influences. These differences can be so marked that they sometimes result in limited understanding between speakers from different Arab regions.

IDISC's translators, who specialize in Arabic, are native speakers of the different dialectal variants specific to each target region or country. This specialization allows translations to be precisely tailored to resonate with the specific audience in each area, thus enhancing the impact and effectiveness of marketing content.

For content that requires a more universal approach, iDISC offers translations into standard and neutral Arabic, ideal for technical documents and formal materials.

Frequently asked questions about Arabic translation

What kind of documents can we translate into Arabic?

We can translate any file type or format. We extract the content, translate it and return the translated document respecting the formatting. We use tools that show the approved updates in the original text in order to apply them faithfully in the translated versions. All this without the need for a designer, editor or programmer.

How do I request a translation into Arabic?

It’s very simple! All you have to do is fill out this form, attach the document you wish to translate and indicate the language and delivery date. We will contact you as soon as possible and start the translation process so that you can receive your translations without delay.

How is the price of an Arabic translation calculated?

The translation rate for a document is calculated based on the number of words to be translated. Depending on the project, there are several factors that can influence the final price, such as language combination, content type, source format and delivery time, among others. Similarly, repeated phrases or words can reduce the cost of translation thanks to the use of technological tools.

How long does an Arabic translation take?

The usual waiting time to receive a simple translation is between 2 and 3 working days. The turnaround time depends mainly on the volume of words, but also on the degree of specialization of the vocabulary. To give you a rough idea, a translator usually translates between 2000 and 2500 words per day on average. Subsequently, this work must be reviewed by another translator, who may process around double or triple the number of words per day in proofreading tasks.

What guarantees are in place to ensure translation quality and confidentiality?

At iDISC, we comply with the quality standards ISO 9001, ISO 17100 and ISO 18587, which establish requirements for professional competence and processes in translation services to ensure that translations are fit for purpose.

In addition, with ISO 27001-accredited processes and in compliance with the GDPR, we ensure the confidentiality of your translations and protect all your information with the latest cybersecurity tools, using secure systems for the storage, access to and transmission of documents.
